Matthew Repplinger / Founder of Pro Positive Yoga

What do yoga and baseball have in common? Meet, Paver, Matthew Kasper Repplinger II, founder of Pro Positive Yoga, dedicated to bringing yoga, meditation and mindfulness to the world of professional sports and beyond.

As a dedicated practitioner of yoga and meditation, you might think that Matthew Repplinger is just another Denver yogi, not to mention, cool “dude,” who also happens to have great taste in music (he hand picked the awesome tune for this piece by the Garrett Sayers Trio).

But, think again – Matthew is no typical yogi. He is also an entrepreneur with a strong will to make a difference in the lives of athletes, professionals and baseball fans alike. It’s a rare breed of person, who has the courage to fuse two vastly different passions together, in order to make a difference in the world and in the lives of others.

Recognizing that many professional, and in particular, amateur athletes, suffer from depression, addiction, alcoholism and suicide at the close of their careers, Matthew dedicated himself to enhance their lives. He knew that the greatest way for him to be of service was to connect the world of mindfulness and yoga to the world of professional sports.

Today, Pro Positive Yoga is endorsed by the Association of Professional Ball Players of America, and works with many well know organizations, such as The Seattle Mariners, the Los Angeles Dodgers, The Colorado Rockies, the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, Yoga Alliance, The Denver School of Science and Technology as well as many other business entities throughout North America.

And, if all of this weren’t enough, Matthew is also the longtime General Manager and owner of Denver’s acclaimed amateur baseball club, The Denver Browns; not to mention, the author of Baseball In Denver, a book which highlights Denver’s prominent historical role in America’s great game.

Are you a Colorado Rockies fan? It just so happens that Pro Positive Yoga has an awesome event up its sleeves coming up this Saturday, August 6. Rockies fans can attend the Rockies vs. Marlins game, and also participate in an hour-long yoga session, right on the field at 8:30am the morning of the game. Instructors Valerie Dambrosio and Tyrone Beverly of I’mUnique will guide the yoga session as part of the Denver Yoga Festival!  Learn more and purchase your tickets to the Colorado Rockies Yoga Day, here.

So, how does Matthew Repplinger Pave His Way? Check-out his video to find out.

And, stay tuned for more stories of Pavers to come…

Sincerely,

Nina
